Is it still Tony's?
Looking for something on the spicier side

Yea, tony's is still probably my favorite. Depending on where you live, country corner, crawfish on the geaux, sammy crawfish king, and heads and tails are also good

I used to love Country Corner when I lived in the area.

crawfish on the geaux
Have tried them before and didn't think they were seasoned enough. Like them on the spicy side

Berthelot's near Perkins and Essen are damn good. Heads n Tails too.

I went to the Crawfete festival this weekend in Perkins Rowe. They have about 10 different boilers. Tony's was one of them, and they were last on my list.
C&M Crawfish won first place in judge pick and people's choice. They were pretty salty to get first place, but overall, they were still very good.
Sammie's Grill came in 2nd and they were really big and juicy.

Hot Tails in Prairieville has the best flavor and spice level.
Sammy's Grill is a close second.
Just Wingin' It is good also.
Seems like no restaurant in town has them spicy any longer - they're all going for "flavor"

Does Sammy’s sell their crawfish to go?
Posted on 3/26/25 at 5:28 pm to LSU1018
Yes, Sammy’s does to-go. I was told they have a new boiler this year. And they are much better than the last couple of years. Has brought back memories of the old Sammy’s crawfish days 15-20 years ago and they are always one of the best in town.

Crawfish on the Geaux isn't as good as they used to be. Besides being overprices, the last two times I've gone, I had a bunch of empty heads a few very cold ones. I'm hitting country corner up next.

Just Wingin It at Jefferson and Hoo Shoo Too usually has some nicely spiced crawfish for a restaurant.

Crawfish on the Geaux still has the best flavor IMO, but you are right, They are really overpriced and the size/quality has gone down.

Had crawfish to geaux a few weeks ago and not impressed. Had country corner last week and much better seasoning

I dont eat crawfish out a ton just because I like boiling them myself so much - but I have had Willie's twice this year and I don't know how another restaurant could have them beat. If so it cant be by much. The flavor, spice, and juiciness were great. Size was really small each time but I chalked it up to early season.
