Bookmarked. It won't be episode 9. Episode 8 it may be, but I'm betting 7.
Plus the Viper's death isn't as big of a deal as the other 3 finales. I'd say Tywin's death is much larger.

Yea but Tyrion being sentenced to death is a mega huge deal
Plus I guarantee they build up Red Viper's character much more here

Honestly, from the formula they've established, it would be much more effective to break it. If it's the end of Episode 9 when the Mountain and the Red Viper face off, then the general audience is going to expect him to lose. It would be the big shocker "frick you" moment to the audience. Putting the battle a bit earlier than the second to the last episode would make it much better and more surprising for the non-readers.
Honestly, your insistence is much the same as readers who thought the season would end with UnCat or the Purple Wedding, and it was simply because we were used to something of a surprising and epic ending to the seasons.

I just think you are wrong, my friend. With all due respect. We shall see come next spring

I could see Episode 9 ending with them killing Tywin. I just think they're going to try to start AFFC and ADWD. If I had to take a guess, they're doing Tywin's funeral as well this season, and end it with the burning of the Tower of the Hand.
Agreed. Episode 9 imo will end with the words "Wherever whores go....", and could very well be the title of the episode.
Tywin's funeral/burning of the tower would be the perfect episode 10 wrap up and set up for S5, at least to that storyline, with Tyrion being introduced to Illyrio as well.
That way S5E1 could introduce Doran Martell when they present Gregor's head in Dorne, the way they introduced Balon, Asha, and the Greyjoys in S2.
Not sure where Jon/Dany/Bran/Sam/Arya end S4. Any ideas?
Hasn't it been announced that Bloodraven will appear this season? Sounds like episode 10 finale to me!

You really have to end the season that way for the non-readers, since they'll be pumped that Dany and Tyrion are about to unite and she'll be bad arse. You don't end it with him simply killing Tywin.

Honestly, I think they'll skip the things happening in Dorne for Season 5. The only thing of relevance that the audience really needs to know is Myrcella getting her ear chopped off. Dorne will still have some presence through Quentyn, who they'll gloss over mostly as well, but they'll have him visit Dany in Meereen.

Jon ends exactly where he ended in the novel: becoming Lord Commander.
Dany: Taking over Meereen, however she does it this time. She won't do it the same way in the novels.
Bran: Meeting Bloodraven
Sam: Same place a Jon's. Sam isn't going to be given too much to do next season.
Arya: She's a tricky one for me. I do think they'll have to invent some plot for her this season, much like Dany. Maybe have the Freys and the Boltons aware of her and the Hound's existence and trying to hunt them down in order to capture Arya in claiming the North. In the end, they simply go with a fake instead. I'm questionable though if Arya will merely start her journey towards Braavos, or arrive and have the last scene with her meeting the Faceless Men. I imagine that she won't arrive in Braavos this season, simply because of how ridiculous of a hassle it will likely be to design Braavos.

I think most readers/viewers expected a better ending than what occurred. There were dozens of possible endings better than crowd surfing.

The crowd surfing was an utter pile of shite way to end this season. Really hope D & D know that the Hodors & non-Hodors alike hated that scene.
IMO would've been more effective to end Dany's story with banishing Jorah but then again they didn't go sewer diving yet or introduce Mereen yet.

Ep 1: Meeting the Red Viper, as well as the story on meeting Tyrion in his youth. Also set up Dontos.
Ep 2: The singer blackmails Tyrion, and the small council meets.
Ep 3: Another scene with Tywin and Tyrion, as well as a scene between him in the Red Viper.
Ep 4: The Purple Wedding
Ep 5: Start of the trial
Ep 6: Continuation of the trial, the Red Viper tells Tyrion he'll be his champion.
Ep 7: The Mountain vs The Red Viper
Ep 8: Tyrion kills Tywin
Ep 9: Varys and Tyrion leave King's Landing, Tyrion meets Illyrio
Ep 10: Tyrion, Illyrio, and Varys leave Pentos
Agree with most of this but...
Last scene of Ep 9: Tyrion kills Tywin
Ep 10: if they even really go into his story much Tyrion Varys leave, maybe show him meeting Illyrio in Pentos
Also I don't think they'll extend the trial over 3 episodes (including the fight) I see it as they'll have the trial right after the PW, same episode Oberyn offers to fight on his behalf. Skip an episode without any Kings Landing events. RV vs Mountain.

I'm starting to lean more towards this occuring in Episode 9.

The following characters I think will be shown testifying: Ser Meryn, Pycelle, Varys, and Shae. Plus I think they'll have Oberyn being the one who visits Tyrion instead of Kevan. There's two chapters on the trial, so I think it'd be enough for two episodes.

I was thinking about next season. Pretty much every episode is gonna have something epic.
Magnar Thenn and Ygritte attacking Castle Black from the south (ygritte dies)
Wildlings with mammoths and shite attacking the wall form the north
Purple Wedding
Oberyn vs Mountain
Lysa and moondoor
Tywin on privy
Arya and the Hound vs Polliver et al
some uncat stuff
Great, now I have a boner.

I agree that Jon is not 'dead' and will come back.
I don't see Aegon living past TWoW...and who the hell knows when Dany will get to Westeros. ..I would imagine the mess that she created in Mereen is about to blow up in her face and she's going to have to haul arse out of there on her ships.

If Aegon doesn't live past TWoW, then I think the character would almost be pointless. Personally I think he'll be sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of TWoW, which will set up not a 3 way war between Aegon, Dany, and Sansa, but a three way war between Varys, Tyrion, and Littlefinger.
And Dany will have to haul arse out of Meereen, which will only make her look worse. When she arrives in Westeros, everyone is going to be scared shitless of her, thinking that the Mad King has returned to burn the lands with the murderous Imp beside her egging her on. Despite her dragons, the odds will be heavily against her taking the Iron Throne once she makes it to Westeros, because everyone will hate and fear her, and especially her Hand.

Varys doesnt want the throne. He wants power and influence but not the throne IMO. And they would never accept a eunoch.

You misunderstood me. I think that it will be apparent at the end of WoW that there will be three major competitors for the realm: Sansa, Dany, and Aegon. However these three will never come into direct confrontation with each other. It will be the masterminds between the three that the real Game of Thrones will be played: Tyrion will be Dany's mastermind, Littlefinger will be Sansa's, and Varys will be Aegon's. Those three really have no shot at the Throne, but they are still the three people who are actually running things more than their respected king and queens.
Tyrion will know that they have no shot at conquering the realm outright, but fortunately Dany will have the opportunity to save the realm from the Others. Tyrion will first join his forces to Jon Snow's, and then hopefully absorb Sansa's as well once Littlefinger is eliminated. Dany and Jon will save the realm, while Aegon hides behind the walls of King's Landing to his true uncle's and father's insistence. It will lead to his destruction.

I'm hung up on Bran's visions and think The She Wolves of Winterfell will shed some new light. I googled GRRM's latest ASOIAF short story and its being published in an anthology titled "Dangerous Women." The title for his story is the Princess and the Queen. Has this been confirmed to be a dunk and egg story or is this totally different?
