Let two big hogs 20' away walk. Then 6 small ones 1/2 hour 50 yards walk and then a shooter buck walk. Just didn't feel up to cleaning them. Still was nice just to be out there.

Siting at camp slept in this morning. Had to bring hunting buddies wife to hospital in Opelika/Auburn at 1:30 a.m. Got a call saying water was broke (me being still sleeping though a pipe had busted) but, her water had broke. We're are all from the Belle Chasse area and they will spending at lease two weeks in the hospital... All seems good with the baby. Will just be a lil bit early. .

Ground blind where I have a huge 9 and another nice 8 on camera. All pics have been at night but my buddy hunted this stand on Saturday and swears one of them came out at dark but he couldn't risk a shot.
I'd take anything at this point but just hoping one of those walk out. Saw a lot of signs coming in that deer have been moving more frequently. Hoping the rut will kick in real soon.

Nice buck, congrats!

I asked earlier but I think you missed it, where in EBR do you hunt? I'm in the northern part of the parish and curious if you are anywhere near me.

Thanks fellas.
I've been known to pass on deer and regret it later and I watched this one (I think) from 0615 when I could just tell it was a deer until 0645 when I could tell it was an 8 but couldn't judge it well. He walked away and I kinda regretted not shooting. An hour later a spike popped out on the other side side of me and he was right behind the spike. No hesitation that time.

I've had a lot of action the last two mornings.
