I think the rule now is that if a site is to host, it has to be hosted by a team that played at least one regular season game as the home team in that arena. Then that team cannot be allowed to play at that site if they are the host team during the tournament. After the NCAA's cut the host team gets the profits.

For example, a couple years back the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island hosted the first 2 rounds. The host team was St. John's, and earlier in the year St. John's was the designated home team for a regular season game.

Therefore if we were to host the NCAA at the PMAC, we would have to allow someone like Tulane to play a "home" game there so that they can be the host team.

Ahh....but those Memphis St. cheerleaders or was it dance team?

Dance team. I think they were national champs. The basketball team may have beaten Memphis, but the Memphis dance team definitely won. Night and day better than ours back then.

I remember feeling sorry for the Tiger girls, they had to follow that Memphis Dance team and it was humbling....poor girls.

Ha! yeah, Kirk just slapped at Dale's hand. Then broke out the Elmer reference on Dale which apparently at the time was something many in the college basketball fraternity at that time used to refer to Dale as.

Had never heard of it till then but was apparently a reference to the fictional preacher Elmer Gantry.
