The original RoboCop is a perfect film.

Just rewatched it. No flaws. Everything perfect. The remake is practically forgotten, just like that shitty Total Recall remake.

The remake doesn't get that it's satire.

Colin Farrel's career should be over.

Couldn’t agree more. I literally watch the film at least once or twice a month. I really think the soundtrack makes it much better.

its one of those movies that just fits its time period perfectly and trying to recapture it is a losing endeavor. But I'm sure they'll keep trying

Uh... frick yeah... It's one of the best uses of a film score I can think of and has one of the best main theme hook ever.

Everything about it made upped the quality and impact of the movie.

The synthesizers were so 80s yet so "futuristic" and the classic string and horn score by Basil Poledouris emits so much power and badassness that any remake was going to fail miserably without it.

I think Conan is Poledouris' masterpiece (the movie is basically driven completely by the score because there's such little dialogue) but Robocop ain't far behind. The guy is on of the most underappreciated figures in Hollywood history. He was a genius.

Ultimate Robocop Theme

One part could have been done better.

RoboCop shoots the dicks of rapists

Obviously NSFW, exactly what it says on the tin

I agree. He did the score for Red October and I loved that one a lot too.
