She made landfall near the MS/LA border as a powerful Category 3 major hurricane. She brought with her catastrophic wind and storm surge to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and catastrophic flooding to New Orleans.

Same for my family. It sucked at the time since I was younger, but I’m not very attached to my personal possessions anymore. Silver lining I guess.

My wife survived Katrina and the 2016 flood. She has severe PTSD over weather. A thunderstorm can trigger a panic attack.

LSU still played a home game shortly after, whereas UF canceled there’s for a hurricane that never hit.

Lol bro LSU cancelled TWO home games for Katrina. They moved the North Texas game to later in the season and moved the Arizona State game to Arizona.

I’m taking night classes right now, and the guys that sit next to me were 2&3 years old when it happened... truly blew my mind
