The most religious parts of the country and world are also the worst parts - the absolute leaders in pretty much every social pathology.

I went to a private school in Louisiana and being surrounded by evangelicals during my formative years was pretty much the worst part of my life. Good riddance

You can’t blame this on me. I’ve thrown more kids into lockers and dumpsters than damn near anybody else that ever lived. I did it for them. I helped those kids build more character than there deadbeat parents ever did

I think it's the "Everyone Is Special" treatment kids received that became big in the 80s/90s.
I agree about the “Everyone is Special” bullshite, but that shite definitely didn’t start in the 80’s. I grew up in the 80’s and there was none of that shite.

The “Participation trophies” didn’t start until the 2000’s.

That's actually a really good point.

Maybe interactions like that are part of the whole maturation process, and now we don't have anyone to tell us when we're wrong.
True.

I remember teasing a girl on a bus in probably 3rd grade and I still remember her crying and how bad it made me feel. I don’t ever remember teasing anyone after that. In fact, I usually took up for the ones being teased or bullied.

Bingo. I’d like to believe most people have a conscious. Some people become aware of it early in their life. Some don’t realize it exists until they trigger it themselves and see the repercussions... some were dropped on their head as babies and/ or just don’t gaf about other people, which is fine too

Getting bullied a little bit as an adolescent builds character and develops social skills. Parents today think they can protect little Billy and Suzie from the harshness of the real world. All they are really doing is creating thin-skinned pussies unprepared for adult life.

The gauntlet is where you become strong and determined. Most people's lives are so easy that they never are really challenged.

The problem is the "everyone gets a trophy" movement. It makes people submissive and soft. No balls. I look at these kids on their knees chanting BLM brainwashing slogans and I go off the rails. A bunch of pussies with no will or balls. It is appalling. If you get on your knees once, that is the beginning of the end for you. You will never mentally recover. You will submit to every obstacle the rest of our life. Lazy parents trying to be their kids friends created a mouthy bunch of little entitled snot nosed shits. Discipline taken out of schools also has not helped as well as the breakdown of the nuclear family. Kids don't fear anything anymore. Everyone needs to grow up with a firm hand of discipline and rules in their life. When that doesn't happen, this is what you get. No respect for themselves, property, other peoples rights, for your fellow man, decency and the rule of law. Im so disappointed in our country. We are a 300lb out of shape fat guy, and we need to fight for our lives now. The odds are not in our favor, but we can pull it off if we get firm and snap to it.

Problen was zero tolerance for fighting. Even ones being bullied would get in trouble for fighting back.
