So will big clubs allow teams to play out of state while lsa LCSL games aren’t permitted?

How are we going to be able to go out of state to play if the clubs are still keeping kids 6 feet apart at practice due to LSA rules? Is that just in LA? Could we load up our BRSC team, head over to Orange TX or Bay St. Louis and have a full practice?

This whole thing confuses the hell out of me. We are supposed to be in Plano Labor Day weekend. I have no idea how that can happen if we can't even officially practice per LSA

Kind of screwy, from south MS tournament soccer meant us traveling other places, Al, Fl, La. there’s usually a Hattiesburg tournament. one at County Farm north of Pass and maybe a Sportsplex one in Gulfport. All of those aren’t much for competition. The Jackson area has a couple.

BRSC used to rent part of Stanislaus for a boarding summer camp, my son went twice. They have some relationship.

I know our club would love to host BRSC at the Sportsplex. There are two local clubs that practice there...1, 2 in the state in 06.

HFC would come to down to play as well. They’re the top 05 team in the state.

Mandeville Soccer Club.

We seem to be following the same protocols as the other big clubs. Teams are formed and practicing, but only individual drills and conditioning currently allowed. Kids are confined to their own practice space.

I am told it will stay like this until the state moves to Phase 3, or LSA changes its protocols.

I doubt we have a Fall season.

That was Allerton, the Academy director. He got arrested in CT for abusing a young girl when he was coaching up there a few years ago.

Yea, the final year was super strange, they still had the company name...something Performance, on the camp shirts.

My son boarded, which was a fun vacation for us.

I’m sure the connections are still there, they still held the camp once he was locked up. It’s just the business it was run under doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

The answer to playing out of state is that most teams will be dual registered. With US Youth Soccer though LSA and with US Club soccer directly.

Teams will register for out of state tournaments under their US Club registration, that way they do not need to go to LSA for permission to travel out of state.

Louisiana Fire is working with US Youth Soccer's national guidelines and they also contracted with Ochsner to have them sign off on a practice plan that they would deem safe for participants. If we are in phase 2 then activities can include dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and patterns of play; and (d) small sided games can be slowly incorporated as no cases arise between teammates.

Wait so small-sided games could be happening now?
What number constitutes small sided?

Heard that from a BRSC coach this week, his expectation is that the fall will probably be nothing but out of state tournaments via US Club Soccer, and hopefully LSA will allow league games in the spring

BRSC has their team camp this week. They had planned on being in Phase 3 by now, so they are having to scale back from the full on practice and scrimmages they originally planned. However, that same coach told me he expects to have some small sided games during the week, including between different teams. The club is pretty much done following the 6 foot bubble rule from LSA, as I'm sure others are as well

My kids didn’t want to play this fall because of the spring disruption. I’ll probably send them to soccer camp in Brazil in the spring.

We got the tentative schedule today for the Fall...all games are in MS on our schedule.

BRSC, FIRE, and ‘Cajuns’ are all registered. That is good news.

LCSL league brackets came out today, apparently they are hoping to start up after Labor Day, not sure what criteria needs to be met for that to happen though

Our BRSC team is scheduling several scrimmages and friendlies with MS teams during August, and we have out of state tournaments on the books. I'm not convinced we will play one game inside the state in 2020.

Have you all seen a timeline on when LCSL schedule is to come out?

In past years, there was a timeline with key dates.

We have not, just the bracket. The only loose date we have is "games after Labor Day", but I believe that's dependent on the state being out of Phase 3 even, so I don't see how that's possible at this point

Looks like this just was updated in last couple of days.
Still a couple of weeks for schedule (at least as they are usually late).
