God is sovereign over all things, including the "will of the people".

Do you think Jesus' execution was an accident? Recall that the "will of the people" choosing Barabbas over Jesus ultimately led to Jesus' execution, yet the whole thing was orchestrated by God before He created the heavens and the earth.

so if this is true then God could stop children from being abused and raped and trafficed. once again i will say it if this is the god you believe in he is an a-hole.
