In other words, pretty much the exact demographic that should take extra precautions to not contract this virus. Let everyone carry on with their lives at their own discretion

I remember the OTer bitching before Thanksgiving because his elderly parents wanted his family to mask up when they visited. Not only do people not want to take precautions, a lot of them don't want anyone else to take precautions either.

My internal medicine guy recommended a COVID cocktail. Taking a muti-vitamin plus which had most of the things the guy recommended.

How soon after your positive test did you take Hydroxychloroquine or did you take it at all?

I am currently in required quarantine from work because of close contact with a positive case. I’m symptom free eight days in. I take vitamins C, D3, and zinc every day.

This is my issue, at least here

I've not encountered a lot of people at-risk who aren't looking out for themselves (and expecting others to do it for them), but I'm sure they're out there. Most of my older family is hunkered down and taking it very seriously but not really imposing it on others.

I have a great uncle who did the opposite, went to his favorite bar daily like always, etc. He died of COVID the week before Thanksgiving. We make our choices, I suppose (and it wasn't like he blamed anyone else).

But on here it's become a statement to take off your masks, etc. Which I frankly don't give a shite about if you're going to bars and whatnot, live your life. But don't try and make a statement at Publix at 8AM when a bunch of old people are trying to pick up some milk.

I was in there for 15. I’ve been home for about a month but my energy levels aren’t where they were pre-COVID.

Don't let the sycophants on the Poliboard see this take. They won't be able to handle such a reasoned, well-thought out take from someone able to think for themselves.

If you didn’t require convalescent plasma, and ECMO or tracheotomy I don’t think you were as close to death as it seemed. I still feel for you and are glad that you are still kicking!

Didn’t take it at all but would have. I got the blood test and on top of it showing positive for COVID, my platelets and white blood cells were extremely elevated so I was told to go to ER immediately.

Get the milk delivered or get curbside pickup. It's not my problem to arrange my life around your preconditions.

My anecdotal experience seems to show that the medical community is pretty divided on the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine. My FIL had Covid a few months ago and had to make a few visits to the ER with low O2 levels. The doctor he saw first prescribed hydroxychloroquine. The doctor he saw the second time told him to throw that stuff in the trash.

Did you mistype 5 foot, 6 inches?

6'5" 200lbs is a BMI of 23.7. You shouldn't be pre-diabetic unless you exclusively eat gummy bears.
