What’s your favorite “go to” pellets for pellet grill smoker?

These are my 2 favorite so far. $15.00 for 40 lb, tough to beat...

I use the brand from Sam’s. Roughly $14 for a 40lb bag and they seem to burn just fine.

I’ve used lumberjack and Kingsford. I really like the lumberjack, but no where around BR sells them (that I know of)

Can you use pellets as wood chips in other smoking setups? Bc 15 dollars for 40 lbs is pretty cheap. Answer gotta be yes

Lumbejack for sure. $8.99 all year round at Atwoods. I like the competition blend the best.

Yes
Get a pellet tube.
You light it upright with a torch, let it burn 5 minutes like a candle, blow it out and lay it horizontal
A 12 incher will smoke 5-6 hours
This is amazing to cold smoke cheese or other stuff in pretty much any pit also.

The Sam’s app says that it is a “precise blend of hickory, oak, maple, and cherry wood”

I plan to eventually get a Weber Smokefire once they work the bugs out. I read that it’s best to use Weber pellets in it.
Anyone here have experience with the Smokefire?

My brother had one for about six months. Gave him nothing but trouble. He loaded it up took it back to the ACE and they gave him a high end Traeger to replace it no questions asked. The employee said they only sold two and they both came back. I’d wait for awhile yet.

If you have Grillgrates you can throw pellets into the grooves and get some smoke on your shorter cooks.

I use wood. And fire. That’s how you smoke, son.

I just got a set of grill grates, do you seasoned them first like cast iron? Ex:put a coat of oil and bake in oven for an hour then let cool a couple cycles?

Same here. I have used it on a variety of different meats and it has worked well

Of course Weber will say their pellets are best to use with their smoker, but it doesn't matter what brand you use.
