The architect we are using apparently does pool design too. We were going to have him draw up something for us as an add to the contractors proposal. If we don’t move forward with the pool right away, my thinking is that I’ll at least know where I want the equipment located and already have gas, water, power, etc run to that spot when we’re ready for a pool in the future.

so you wont need water. but it would be smart to run gas and power now to where you will want to place the equipment, your architect should know rules on how far it has to be from window etc.

other thing is you want to get a pvc drain line run from you culverts to this place also so when you drain the pool you are not just flowing into your yard.
