I'm not sure he has moved past a CEO role. I've never seen Clemson or anyone say that's his offense there and Venables has to be mentioned as you said. He's likely not going to get a hire like that at LSU that sticks around forever. He's going to have to make constant hires on both sides and we're not sure he's really an offensive minded coach. He has never been a coordinator anywhere.

I think we could do a lot worse than Tucker…but that being said, I think there are a lot of candidates with better resumes. And I’m not really impressed with the Big10 this year.

There is literally no evidence given in this thread that Mel Tucker has communicated a single word to LSU. Surprised that some on the board have responded as if it’s the gospel. Pretty sure if Tucker has made such a declaration it would make headlines.
