I like the place in Krotz Springs ,first stop on the right, going west after the bridge...
I think that's also Billy's , not sure.

OOPS!, yes 190

First on the right is Billy's. Kartchners is first on the left and is good too. That's 190 though.

On I-10, I'd just stop in Scott. Billy's, Don's, and best stop are all right there fairly close to each other. Billy's and Don's are right by each other.

Billy's is my favorite. They're all great though. They're so close you could just grab some from all 3 and do a taste test to see which one you like best.

Good luck getting Billy's to mail your order out if you are out of town. I ordered early last week and it still has not shipped. First time and last time.

I prefer Bourque's Boudin and Billy's Boudin Balls. Bourques isnt on I-10, so for boudin on I-10 - I would hit Billy's for Pepperjack Stuffed Boudin Balls & Regular Boudin....ease down to Best Stop for Smoked Boudin & Cracklins. Not crazy about Don's. Agree with that being the only exit....no reason to chase anything anywhere else.

Nunu’s has a location there now as well after acquiring Early’s Cajun Market. They deserve to be in that discussion

I stopped at Billy's this morning and they were out of smoked boudin. I was bummed. I bought an extra dozen pepper jack boudin balls instead...

If you’re going to pass Exit 61 (Roanoke), just west of Jennings, stop at Peto’s and get some smoked sausage to put in your gumbos. You’ll thank me later.

Kartchners, really good boudin and cracklins. Try the smoked boudin they have behind the counter.

Exit 97 in Scott.
Billy's has my favorite boudin. Also, their Pepperjack boudin balls, and pepperjack rollups are the bomb. You can't leave there without some boudin balls.

Best Stop has the best cracklins and meat shop. You need a stuffed ponce? Get it from Best Stop.

Don's has the most consistent boudin. The recipe rarely varies very far. Also, some people prefer Dons over everything else, and they may not be wrong. It's also not a bad spot for a quick burger or plate lunch.

Nunu's is just up the road. They have a SOLID plate lunch. Baws line up for it during the week. They also have excellent boudin. They've also stepped up their craft beer and whiskey selection. You may be able to poach some good ones as most of the clientele seems to prefer Miller Lite. They also have good Mozzerela Cheese bread (You bake at home), and a decent Jalapeno Cheese Bread (Not as good as Borques in Port Barre)

My recommendation would be to get a link from everywhere and see whose recipe you like the best. All the options are very good. Some are meatier than others, some have more spice/different spices. It's a matter of preference really.

Danny and Bonnie's in Gretna is better than all those in the corridor for cracklin, IMHO.

I love Billy's, but not their cracklin. The boudin balls, crawfish pies, etc. are all great. I also like their smoked boudin.

I haven't tried too many places in the area. Just Billy's, Don's, Best Stop, and Hebert's.

The big 3 in scott are the best on I-10 IMO krotz spring and port barre are in the same class. If ya like stuff and are a foodie its fun to take notes hit 190 for a fair sampling taste test and compare and rate and find whats best for you. Taste buds are lie arse holes every body got them and they all a lil different.

I look forwards to any results and aint done this in like 20 years so its time for me to do it again. While ya testing dont for get borques pull apart bread its legit also.
