7 gallon black iron pot

My son enjoys cooking. I’m thinking about getting him a 7 gallon pot and burner for Christmas. I’ve looked at Goodwood Hardware already. Any other suggestions on a place to look? Any suggestions before I make the purchase?

Just checked Amazon and they have a 10 gallon cast iron pot with burner for $265.17 and $23.51 for shipping.
It is a King Cooker 1740 model and somewhere around 18 inches tall and weighs around 30 lbs. The only thing I didn't like it it comes with what looks like an aluminum lid and not a cast iron one.

The "smaller box" hardware stores are usually a good source.
Did Goodwood not have any?
Vernons Hardware on Fla Blvd just west of Sherwood has a good selection of cast iron. Millerville Ace has a little bit.
If those places don't produce, then I'd head out to the Ascension Parish area. I don't recall the names but there are a few places that have the pots and make the burners. They are real nice, but not real cheap. With that size pot, you pretty much need a burner that "fits" the pot. Your standard off the shelf crawfish burner isn't going to work right.

Goodwood had a bunch. I’m just starting to look around.

Go to the grocery store in gonzales.

Ed's Shenandoah Hardware on Jones Creek used to have a pretty good selection and generally at better prices than Goodwood. Haven’t been over there in a while, though.

For Christmas 2 years ago I bought my son the 6.5 pot with black iron burner and the various utensils for when he went to college.
I bought it from Lamondola’s. My only issue is the cast iron lid on their cast iron brand they carry. Was slightly warped and Lamondola’s was awesome in customer service. However, the second lid was just a tad bit better but not by much. Also the lip on the lid is not deep enough so when you roll the but we the lid slides off.
Not sure what brand they carry but, for my next kid I will look for a different brand.

That recipe may be the most valuable thing I've ever obtained from TD. It's easily the best Jambalaya I've ever had. I cook it for lots of gatherings and everyone raves about it.
