Also the OG La Caretta's right there in downtown. I haven't been there in years, but got a lot of nostalgia sitting on the patio there.
They ripped out all your nostalgia a while back and now it's just a boring outdoor area

This for sure if you're with a group. Cate St has everything... burgers, steaks, seafood, sushi.

sadly, pour house is no more. Some guys from Nola bought it, renamed it Milan’s and completely ruined it
I passed by and saw the name changed the other day, was wondering what happened. Do the old owners have any places right now? Thought Blackened Brew was going to reopen soon, but I hadn't heard if it did.

I concur. Milan's isn't terrible but Pour House menu choices were way better.

There's no shortage of good, locally owned restaurants in downtown Hammond. I'm not sure there's a single restaurant downtown that I wouldn't recommend. Pretty much all of them have been named here already. Walk around and find one that's not crowded and enjoy.

This would be my suggestion. Fun atmosphere, great food and close to everything downtown.

The Rubio Hospitality Group restaurants seem to specialize in imported shrimp. If thats the case, I'd go somewhere that uses Gulf shrimp.

Lol. Tommy’s isn’t that bad. But I will definitely say Commodores >>> Tommy’s.

Little Caesars >> Tommy’s. Is that better?

i called milan's mediocre, because it is.
its still edible
tommy's is in no way similar to either frozen pizza or little caesars
. it's fine not to like it, many don't. your hyperbole is just dumb though

I had a chicken cutlet sandwich from Milans that was delicious but have not tried the pizza. I can’t imagine it is on Pour House’s level.
