2 best snowball stands around the Baton Rouge area:
1. The one on Seigen that everyone has mentioned before. They do a great job. The ice is really soft and they add a lot of juice.
2. Snowball stand in Prairieville. It used to be across the street from Dutchtown high, but has moved to a parking lot on Hwy. 73. They also do a great job with the overall snowball. They even ask you how much juice you want.

We went to the one on Cedarcrest off Old Hammond last Sunday. Big ice ball in both snoballs....our last trip to that snoball stand.
Want to still try the one on Siegen.

I got one this past weekend at a place on O'Neal Ln across from the hobby lobby. The ice was great, but it could have used a little more syrup.

You know you got a good snowball when your turd the next day is the color of your snowball....had plenty of syrup to dye your turd.

I hit up Starring Lane or the one in front of Brightside bar and grill.
If you mean the shack at Staring and Highland it has been closed everytime I have been past it recently. And it was closed this past Saturday when I tried to go there to get a snowball. I ended up going to the shack on Perkins and Congress by the self-storage, and it was definitely not the best snowball stand in Baton Rouge. The shaved ice was fine, but the spearmint syrup was tasteless and they did not pour enough of the syrup.

The one at Cedarcrest had mucho syrup.....I mean MUCHO. But a big ice ball is a turnoff.

I like the Way Cool on Antioch. If you don't get enough juice you can try asking for more. I hardly think a 15 year old kid would not help a brother out.
What flavors? I had the wedding cake the other day and it was jammin.

We've been there a few times and it's good. We are still gonan try the one on Siegen.
As for flavors, I always get spearmint. But Afreaux has me ready for a small chocolate to try it.....

Yeah the juice was running over......then I just about broke the plastic spoon trying to get a bite.
Like tundra.
I saw they serve all kinds of stuff. What do you eat there? Hot dogs?

That's a shame, the snowballs I've had there have always been great, really soft ice. I hope it hasn't gone down hill.

Jerry's in Gonzales used to the best I've eaten. But, I haven't been there in a couple of years.
Just got one from the place on O'neal across from Hobby Lobby. Pretty good.

Going to have to go with New Orleans Style Snowballs on Siegen, in the Mattress Warehouse parking lot across from the Harley Davidson dealership.
I tried stopping there after lunch today. The snowball stand is gone!!! Their sign was still out front, but the portable stand was gone.

They actually move it to different locations from time to time. The first time I saw it, they were parked at the Harley Dealership during some promotional event. 20 minutes later, they were back in their original location.
I mentioned it to them, and they said that they often take the stand to different spots for an hour or two.

I hope you mean summer school at LSU, otherwise that seems a little creepy.

Not in BR, but D-Bro Sno in Prairieville on 621 is the best one I've ever been to. Blows all the other ones in the area out of the water.
