John Folse's books are actually a good read. And they look decent on the shelf, unlike most good cookbooks.
Talk About Good is the GOAT cookbook.

I guess it depends on what you want to cook, but for seafood and wild game, i use this one all the time.

if it walks, swims, or can fly in Louisiana, there is a recipe for it in this book.

I like all the John Folse cookbooks.

Donald Link's and Issac Toups cookbooks are a go to as well for newer stuff.

The Junior League one's are good (River Road, Talk about Good, Cotton Country)

Here is one that is really good and cheap.

I like Talk About Good.

We also have Top 100 Cajun Recipes put out by Acadiana Profile that’s been pretty good.

AcadianaTable website is very useful as well.

John Folse's Encyclopedia of Cajun and Creole cuisine is a good cookbook as well as a good read and solid coffee table book.
