Best Hot Chicken Spot in Nashville?

I will be going to Nashville soon for a Bachelor trip. I am curious as to yall's opinions on the best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich in Nashville. I am not really looking for the hottest chicken, but rather the best tasting. I like heat, but no need to be to the point of being unenjoyable.
Feel free to throw in any other Nashville suggestions as well; I have not been before.

Prince's is OG, but probably not near where you're staying. I say Pepperfire.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am a huge Hattie B’s fan but my coworker claims Princes is better. I’m going to sort this out on my next trip. At Hattie’s I do the big plate, dark meat with mac and cheese and greens.
Another good one is the Woolworth lunch counter by the Capitol. Their hot chicken sandwich is really good along with their fried bologna sandwich.

Prince's or Hattie B's.
Pepperfire isn't hot chicken; it's chicken with a whole lot of cayenne and that's about it. It's one of the last hot chicken places I would go to in town.

I thought Hattie B’s was great. We stood in line for about an hour but had a beer while we waited. Thought it was worth the wait. I don’t have anything to compare it to but it lived up to the hype imo

had hattie b's in memphis and it was more flavor than heat and i got the next to the hottest spice level. pretty sure that hattie b's is made by white hipsters while prince's is the real deal so i really want to try that.

For an NHC sandwich, the best spots are not the traditional ones. Boltons/Princes/400 degrees are great for bone-in chicken, but not usually for sandwiches. My list goes like this:
1. Subculture. Though not primarily a hot chicken place, their sandwich is head and shoulders above the rest. They also make excellent NHC versions of tacos and ramen.
2. Red's 615. Specifically, the Dirty Bird sandwich, which adds pimiento cheese to the party.
3. Slow Burn. I really really like their NHC breakfast burrito, especially now that their East Nashville spot is open.
4. Hurt's. It's a food truck and may be hard to find and/or a bit of a drive, but Hurt's NHC gyro is awesome and amazing!
5. Waldo's Chicken & Beer. While I'm not a huge fan of their regular chicken sandwich, their Fowl Mouth is excellent. Not super hot, just very very flavorful.

400 Degrees is solid. It's been a while since I've had them.
Subculture hot chicken sandwich is GOAT sandwich
their ramen will light you up. The fat in the broth acts as the perfect vessel to coat everything from your lips to your rear with capsaicin.

Haven't had either. Usually opt for the cubano or butternut squash tacos. I'll have to give those a try.

Most def give the chicken sandwich a try. Best in the city.

You know the North Nashville location is closed, right?

We are going to be in an AirBnB in the middle of downtown. It looks like we are right across the street from Hattie B's and about 10min from subculture. I think I will have to try both.
Any recommendations on other shite to do while we are there? Other than the obvious bars on Broadway?

If you get Hattie B's, call it in and skip the line. Their lines can get stupid long.

Go to Hattie Bs location off Charlotte Parkway... usually no wait

Haven’t had them all... But, if ranking...
400 Degrees
Bolton’s
Slow Burn
Hatties...
Dead last...
Pepperfire
Haven’t had Prince’s but it’s probably the locals choice.
