I vote Nino's with an honorable mention for Randazzo's in Denham Springs.

Idk about fine dining options- I’d have to think about it, but if you just want delicious homemade Italian that won’t break the bank- bistro italia on Coursey.
Eggplant rollatini is badass but everything there is a win and each plate is reasonably priced and will feed you Atleast twice.

I like Nino’s, but I hesitate to call it Italian. Nothing I’ve eaten there reminds me of food I ate in Italy or of typical American Italian, but I have enjoyed most of my meals at Nino’s.
My vote goes to Gino’s, which at least reminds me of American Italian.

Bistro Italia is good stuff. Definitely doesn't get talked about enough.

100%. It does not get as much attention as it deserves.
Their traditional Italian dishes are excellent.
Really good pizzas and sandwiches too.

DiGuilios
While I love DiGuilios I feel like the food has slipped lately. Still love the atmosphere though.
I have really enjoyed La Contea on Jefferson recently. I've been twice and thought the food was very good.

Gino's is my go to.
A few of my friends like for me to meet them at DiGuilios. It's good, can't say anything bad.

Agree. On my way there at 10 in fact.. but the food is not the draw for me. Gino’s is the best.

Bistro Italia And Nino’s. Nino’s isn’t traditional Italian, but it’s very good.

I think Gino's has the best food but Digiulio's has the best atmosphere and really hot waitresses.

I prefer Ginos but the wife like the LV downtown location. Been going to Ginos since 1978. The arancini’s aren’t what they used to be but still solid. Veal parm is my go to dish. They serve a very good steak as well as a great veal chop. You can order the veal chop off menu. Last one I had was bone in about 14ozs. It was amazing.
