Does anyone remember the name of the Italian place on Airline Hwy in Kenner back in the 80’s? It was a white building I think. They sold homemade sausage and Italian sandwiches. Best meatball ever. Any ideas?

Anthony’s deli on government in BR. Heat press po boy bread. Meatball’s are squashed almost flat to stay between bread. Works.

The Wednesday special at Parenton's is my favorite. Garlic and parsley butter and great meatball's with melted mozz. It is really freaking good.

The pressed meatball at Jed’s Local is one of the best sandwiches in BR.

Old Time Grocery in Lafayette makes (at least they used to) a great meatball poboy.

The Wednesday special at Frostop on Clearview in Metairie is spaghetti and meatballs. So you can get a meatball poboy on Wednesdays and it is great. The red sauce is thick, so it doesn't soak into the bread. Get it with parmesan for best flavor.

No idea but, World Deli in Metairie has the best meatball poboy.

Not sure but Zuppardo's in Metairie had/has a really good one. We quit going as much when they morphed into Whole Foods but that and the $3 now $6 burger used to get us in the door.

Yeah Olde Tyme's meatball is great, but you better bring a raincoat and a roll of paper towels. It's hard to eat w/o making a mess, but it's worth it.

I'll try one this afternoon and report back to y'all.
I also wonder why Wednesday is meatball day everywhere. Parenton's and Frostop as mentioned above but also Guillory's in Metairie and Mr. PoBoy in River Ridge. I'm definitely going to hit up Parenton's next Wednesday.

In BR, surprisingly my favorite meatball poboy is at Phil's Oyster bar. 2nd fav is at Jed's. 3rd fav is Anthony's deli.
