In Lafayette for lunch today and looking for pizza.
Have been to Pizza Village and enjoyed it, but are there any others worth checking out?

Central since Bread & Circus is gone. Then Deanos.

Pizza Village is my number 1. The Dupe.
Central is number 2. The Paulie.
Very different styles though.

I like Rochetto's (next to Don's specialty meats on I-10) Don't know if it's the best, but it's good.

Antoni’s has a really good pizza IMO.

Ended up doing Pizza Village….great stuff.

The Smoke Show at Central is my favorite in town. The Paulie is excellent, also.
Deano's is always solid, but probably the most expensive.

Central downtown on Jefferson is #1 IMO. Deano’s probably a distant second.

Same here. Couple Parish Envies, Cheese Curd apps, Carnè pizza make for one happy CoonAss…

I'm really surprised at the amount of people saying Pizza Village. That tastes like cheap frozen pizzas to me.

Alesi Pizza was one of my favorites in the early days

My parents lived in apartments behind Alesi's when they first got married and would go often. Then, they would take me and my brother a few times a year. Now, I take my boys or do takeout a few times a year.
I'm a pizza purist and love going to the certified Neapolitan pizza places around the country. Alesi's is not that style at all.
That said, if I had to pick one pizza for the rest of my life it would be a Pizza Alesi hands-down.

I took the family when we moved back in town. That was the greasiest pizza I have ever eaten.

Bread & Circus was easily the best pizza in Lafayette.
Some of the better pizza that I’ve had anywhere.
