Chicken & Sausage Gumbo - 1.5 weeks in the refrigerator

I know everyone out there says your gumbo only keeps a few days up to a week, but I really want to finish off this gumbo that's been in the first for a week and a half.
Am I going to die?

That’s a no go IMO. I’m willing to go 5 days on food, but 10-11 days? That’s risky.

Am I going to die?
(But probably not from the gumbo).

If it passes the smell test, eat it.
If you want to feel better about it, put it on the stove and simmer for a while.

Probably not going to die, but you will have a hard choice between the squirts or puking in the toilet.
Tell you what to do. Before eating it, get a 5 gallon bucket, put a little water in it along with a capful of Pinesol, that way you can sit and squirt and have a bucket to puke in at the same time.'

1.5 weeks is too long to consider it safe to eat. The risk is probably low, but you cannot guarantee it's safe.

I wouldn’t eat that tonight but then again I have a job to show up to tomorrow morning that discourages shitting in one’s pants

I eat a lot of questionable foods, but I'm not eating that.

It depends on how poor I am

you probably don't die. You might not have any issues.
Or, you might have several hours of explosive poops.

5 days is my standard for beans or gumbo. Anything not eaten after 5 days goes in the freezer. Once I freeze it, I try to eat it within 24 hours of moving from freezer back to fridge.

Is it visibly growing something? If not, smell it.
Does it smell about like it should? Taste it.
Does it taste ok still? Serve it.

Some of you are gross people.

i have no idea how or why people freak out about stuff in the fridge. Y'all live by some stupid rules. I'm guessing some of you guys will only heat up food a certain number of times from the fridge and throw out your bread and milk based on an arbitrary date stamped on a package too.

Yep.
2 months ago I drank milk that was a week past the expiration date and it was perfectly fine. No smell, no sour taste.

Im fairly lax about expiration dates, but I definitely don’t reheat the entire container of something every time I want to eat it and put it back to reheat all over again more times. I serve out what I want and only heat that.
