It's kind of a pale imitation of Yoo-Hoo, which Winn Dixie sells.
Can't remember if they also have the soldier stuff...

it actually is the same product. my dad used to be the plant manager when the yoo-hoo plant was open in opelousas. it is the exact same amounts of ingredients. the only difference is that yoo-hoo is cooked a few minutes longer at a slightly higher temp.

All I know is that if you give a granddaughter a Chocolate Soldier while she is wearing a white dress, your wife and daughter will never let you forget it.

I can confirm that they are the same product. My wife audited the plant when she worked for AA. Surprised the hell out of me. Prior to her telling me this i could have sworn that Chocolate Soldier was the better of the two.

Choc-Ola, Brownie Chocolate drink, and Cocoa Dusty are also Yoo-Hoo with a different label. zero difference in the process as making Yoo-Hoo.

Damn you guys all beat me to it. It's crazy how the label can trick you into thinking they taste differently. I always thought a chocolate soldier was better.

there is a difference in taste due to the cooking process. but the amounts of ingredients are the same.
but the drinks i listed above are the exact same as Yoo-Hoo. ingredients and cooking temp and time are the exact same. just a different label.

Perhaps it is the glass bottle. I know that glass bottled cokes taste better to me than canned coke.

I held the record in 1975. I drank seven and my two friends drank six and five respectively. We headed back across Hayne blvd.,over the levee to the camp. I was also the first to vomit all over the train tracks, they both followed shortly after! Do they still make them?

I know that C.S. And Yoohoo are basically the same, but I just want a C.S.! Now, does anybody know where to find them?

Used to love these as a kid. Last I saw them was about 10 years ago when I worked for a small retail drug store in the N.O. area. I special ordered a case of them for myself from our distributor. Haven't seen them since.

I haven't seen one of these since I was last at the Schwegmann's on Power Road. Maybe 1989.
