re: Reconfiguring my bag now that I’m golfing multiple times a week

Gotcha. Still probably way too top heavy in that set. Typically a 4h is made to be a 4i that’s easier to hit. If you are still in the starting out phase then maybe go with something like a 3w, 5w or 3h, and then a 4i or 4h. The hybrids are infinitely easier to play than a long iron and simplifying s...
re: Which group would you most like to pair up with as a 4th?
Posted by TyOconner on 5/30/24 at 7:34 am
Gotta go with that group too considering it’s the only one with a pro golfer in it. The rest all have at least one person I wouldn’t want to be around for four hours. ...

Maybe I’m missing something but are carrying a 3i, 4i, 5i, 4h, 5h and a 3w? Surely there has to be some overlap in there, especially given that you are at 16 clubs in your bag. I play a 3w, H, and then a 4i. Unless you’re a low single digit then in my mind there’s no reason to torture yourself with ...
re: Augusta will open up for public play in the winter. $10k green fee

Shoot, ten k wouldn’t be even close to prohibitive enough. They could charge a mil and still have a line around the block. Actually wouldn’t be a bad way to raise 100 mil (that they don’t need). Open 100 spots a year. ...
re: Heading to Houma area. LaTour vs driving to TPC.. any opinions??

To clarify, Atchafalaya is definitely better than it has been in recent years. I won’t disagree with that. However, I would say that means it’s about like beaver creek at the moment. Both nice and very serviceable golf courses. The problem with Atchafalaya is that you can’t help but realize that it ...
re: LAB Golf Putters

I got one, couldn’t really tell any difference than what my Scottie does. Granted I’m not a tour pro so that may have something to do with it. Very solid putter obviously but I didn’t keep it in the bag. ...

Atchafalaya is still absolute garbage. Ellendale is much better than La Tour. TPC is an hour away from Houma. ...

re: New Home: What are your “must haves”?

1. Large Ice maker
2. Outdoor metal sink for cleaning small game or fish
3. Screened in porch area, bugs suck
4. Pressure washer for bikes and concrete. Things stay muddy in the country
Good luck with your decision. We are making the move within the year and these are some things that have be...

It’s not a bad idea. Obviously it’s not the best way to aggressively grow your money and make the most you possibly could but if that’s not your top priority then that’s your prerogative. Sounds like lifestyle is important to you and that’s okay. Nothing about what you posted has any red flags in it...
