Chopped judges

Is there a worse judge on any food network show than the bald guy Chris santos?? I can't think of one. He complains about everything and isn't even that good of a chef and sucks at the competition itself (was chopped first round). So annoying

Eta: you can tell the judges are just told by the producers to be dickheads. I think half the time the just film grumpy reaction shots after the fact. They're never assholes in any other time you see them, and they scale it way back when the contestants aren't actual chefs.
All except Scott Conant, that dude seems so full of douche.
Incidentally, I would make sweet love to Amanda Freitag.

"county" is a great word to describe her.
The best are Aaron Sanchez and Zakarian. Samuelsson is good too, especially since he won the competition. At first I thought Conant was a dick, but lately he's been good.

I admit I haven't, and to say he isn't a good chef is probably a stretch. However, if you watched the chopped episode with him he was no where near as good as the other people he was competing against. So maybe I should say, relative to most other chefs on food network he is not that good.

I noticed the same thing,I'm sure it's all for added drama. The reactions are usually so far out of place it's comical. If I hear Aaron Sanchez talk about his mother and cry one more time on the show I'm going to go ape shite!!!

Personally I want to punch Aaron Sanchez every time he has to take a normal word and roll his tongue with it to make it spanish.
If Fajitas are not really a mexican thing is there a need to say.. Fa..rolllllllll... itas.
You could walk tp to the dick say hey my name is John.. And he would probably say back Hello Yawn....
I bet when he worked under Prudhomme he rolled his tongue saying red fish.

I've seen Alex on other shows and she appears genuine. She has a soft spot for the touching stories.
I also think they act a little tough like the elementary teacher on the first day of school. About half of the contestants are so full of themselves and full of crap, that they have to let them know they aren't impressed with them.
It's a whole day of filming condensed to 45 minutes. You can tell at the end by the reactions to the winner that they are not jerks all day long.

All the judges on that show are pretty horrible, but she really stands out. I would love to see a chef just take one of those horrid ingredients and put it on the side. "What the frick you expect me to do with spray cheese? I'm not putting that garbage on beef tenderloin. Would you eat spray cheese on beef tenderloin?"
