Caught a couple nice Flounder and almost 3 dozen crabs this weekend. Any good recipes for Crab stuffed Flounder. I make pretty good crab cakes with very few ingredients and am looking for a crab stuffing that highlights the crab and flounder without a lot of filler. Thanks in advance.

Stuff the flounder with your crab cake recipe.

Are you butterflying the flounder then stuffing and throwing in the oven?

I've made this a few times for a quick & easy shrimp & crab stuffing that I've used for flounder, there's not much too it .

With a little butter brown 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped bell pepper in a pan, once browned throw in 1lb of peeled shrimp(I like using small shrimp for this), once the shrimp are about half cooked throw in 1lb of lump crab meat, squeeze a whole lemon, let simmer for a few minutes until crab meat is warm, stir in just enough melted butter and bread crumbs to bind it all together, season to taste. I usually refrigerate for a couple hours before using as stuffing, that way as the fish cooks it's basically reheating the stuffing instead of drying it out.

The Prudhomme recipe in Louisiana Kitchen is fantastic.

I highly recommend de-boning the flounder. It makes its much more enjoyable to eat and is very easy to do.

Try using a mashed potato as the binder vs bread crumb, and not much of it, I like green onions , and as previously stated refrigerate The stuffing for a few hours before using

Debone it. Did some two weeks ago and the wife and kids enjoyed the extra effort. Make sure the fish are ice cold when you debone.

Look on youtube and make a Flounder pocket (debone it).
Then take and make a crab meat stuffing to your liking.
It's awesome.
