I haven’t been back to Baton Rouge in many years and I am here on business with coworkers and my husband. All of my local friends recommended.
Everyone loved their meal.
We started we the crawfish queso, and the cayenne dusted pork rinds were great with the dish.
The Seafood Pot Pie was enjoyed by several.
My crawfish bisque was a ridiculous portion. Instead of filling the heads, they made crawfish balls. I have leftovers for days!

I've only been to Elsie's once since I live outside of LA but my one experience was magical. I feel like the head chef is a stoner creating so many dishes with cheese and heavy creams.

How was the bisque? Looks old school with a good roux based gravy.

I am not a bisque expert as it is a time consuming process and complex dish, but this was outstanding. And when I say there was at least two and a half cups of bisque, with rice and 4-5 crawfish balls, I am trying how to nibble at it so nothing goes to waste!

Great restaurant and the seafood pie never disappoints. Its like seafood au gratin in a pie. What could be bad about that.

Elsie’s is a gem. Went during restaurant week and had the blackened redfish and it was incredible.
