Had Miss River's brunch this past weekend and it was fantastic. One of the best brunches I've ever had. It was definitely a special occasion place as it's expensive. A biscuit is $9, but it was the best biscuit I've ever had in my life and I'd pay it again. Alon Shaya sat at the table across from me with his family so that was cool.

Prices aren’t that bad. Bout the same as Thorny Oyster (Pearl Hotel) in BSL…and that’s at the Four damn Seasons.

It’s a whole, cut-up chicken, I’d guess.

INB4 Sir, this isn’t Popeyes…

It is. They bring it to you whole, and then they carve it for you.

Chemin à la Mer

Had it a few weeks ago, for the price I was not impressed with the steak. The fish was very good though. I hear Miss River is better.

Ate at Miss River recently. Had the redfish courtbouillon and it was amazing.

The entree prices are not put of line for those types of upper end NO restaurants. The outrage should be over the $18 gumbo. That’s absurd, but I guess they are catering to tourists who want to pay more because it is a four seasons property.

I've eaten dinner at both. I liked Miss River a bit more, but I enjoyed the view from Chemin A la Mer. They should swap names!

Ha!
