Guidry's Ratios

I'm planning to cook a large batch of jambalaya and/or pastalaya soon. If I wanted to shortcut having to chop up a lot of vegetables what would you say the ratio is on a 16 ounce tub of Guidrys?
For example, do you think a tub of Guidry's replaces 1 chopped onion or 2? Seems like there is probably more onion in a tub than anything else.

I wouldn't use it. Eyeballing it makes it seem like 6:1:1 onion to celery to bell pepper. Probably even less celery and pepper than that.
It's probably the equivalent of 1.5 to 2 large onions chopped.

Without knowing the ratio of the vegetables in the tub it would be hard to say. Assuming its 50/25/25 (which its probably not) probably 70/15/15. call it 60% onion and on onion weighs around 3 ounces-ish, that would be approx. 2.5 onions maybe... but who the frick knows!

I would skip the Guidry's and just buy frozen chopped onions, bell peppers, etc, so you can control the ratio of vegetables.
I also don't like Guidry's so I am biased

Usable Peeled Onion per Raw Peeled Weight
73.54%
Hat Tricks, You should use one tub of Guidry's, and then chop up some veggies and refill it so it looks the same ratio and then report back your findings. Thanks

Guidry's veggies were probably cut a week ago and get too damn soggy and just don't give you the same flavor as fresh. Just chop fresh veggies

Pretty sure he doesn't want to, which is why we have this thread.

Just made a 2 cup of rice jamb and used 1 tub of Guidry’s and I thought it was a good ratio. Added some chopped garlic and green onions. Flavor was spot on, didn’t miss the fresh veggies at all.
I’d say 1 tub for every 2 - 2.5 cups of rice is a solid ratio.
