How to peel crawfish - What is your method? Mine may save you time.

Most people do this: Pull the tail off, suck the head (optional), peel off the first scale or two, pinch, pull out meat with fingers and eat.
To me, this is inefficient. I'm surprised more people don't do this, but here is my method: Place your thumb on bottom of tail and index finger on top. Push the tail into the body/head so that your first two scales are in the cavity. Twist the tail away from you. The first two scales will catch on something inside the cavity and break off of the tail. Pull the tail out of the cavity, leaving the first two scales jammed into the opening of the cavity. Suck the head (yes you can still do this with this method) and then pinch and pull the tail meat out with your mouth (or your finger if you prefer). If the crawfish are cooked right, this method works 90% of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work and the tail breaks, but it is worth it considering the error rate. Also, you don't tear up your fingers trying to peel off the scales, because that's already done for you with minimal effort.
Sorry if Germans, but I searched and haven't seen this posted anywhere. I'll have to post a video sometime if anyone is confused.

I always take the vein out, so I peel, pinch, pull, remove and eat.
I am fast enough,
I am fast enough,

I'm a "yankee," so I'll eat them as inefficiently as I please.

Wow, I'm surprised. I rarely ever see anyone doing my method and when I mention it to someone, they usually had no idea there was a better way.

You're doing it wrong.
Your thumb should be under the tail and you should apply pressure to lift the first scale above the level of the body shell. At that point you push the tail in and that breaks the shell past the second scale usually. You can just pull straight out and the tail is ready to eat out of the shell since the first two scales stay on the body of the crawfish. It's crazy fast and super easy.
Get it right.

1) Twist off tail with thumb and forefinger.
2) Suck the head.
3) Place head in orderly row facing toward me.
4) Bring tail to mouth, break first scale thing with teeth, eat meat.
4) Place empty tail in pile to right of wall of heads.
Bing. Bang. Boom.

My method makes it really easy to remove the vein.

1. Twist of tail
2. Suck head
3. Bite tail meat with teeth and pinch bottom of tail.
4. Chew
5. Swallow
If cooked right this is the way to eat.
