I made birria tacos yesterday using the birria bombs sold online.

I put a 2.5 lb chuck roast in the crockpot along with an EZ Bombs Birria Bomb, a diced onion, cilantro and 4 cups of water.

Let it cook on high for about 7 hours

Dipped a corn tortilla in the liquid, then placed in a hot pan before filling it with the roast and chihuahua cheese.

It wasn't bad but I expected more flavor after hearing all the hype online about them.

Small town not far from Albany, Louisiana. It's always made me chuckle that Albany and not Albany are right near each other.

Get some of this if you want birria without a lot of work.

I’ve seen these as well. I wonder if you were to use two would that make an improvement? I love Birria Tacos.

Probably so.

Next time I'm going to add a few more seasonings to the pot before cooking.

Never tried the birria bombs, but birria isn't that hard to make. You just have to go to a Mexican grocery/tienda to get the dried peppers. Making the sauce that you marinate it in and then cook it in is the key.

So I will echo what you said. The birria tacos that the EZ bombs made were ok. Not bad. Not great. Ok.

But hear me out.

If you make them and turn them into Birria ramen, they are on point. Some soft boiled egg, chopped green onion, lime wedges, and a touch of sour cream with the noodles and meat and broth. 10/10.

As a matter of fact, I ordered two. The second one was used a couple of weeks later and was exclusively used for ramen. The entire family devoured it and made me wish I had more.

I just started mine at noon. The one I got was from Amazon and is a different brand. We will see.

I used this from Target last week because it got good reviews online. Full disclosure one of the ingredients in it is tomatoes, but you couldn’t really tell. Used the jar, and filled the jar with water and dumped that in there. Diced onions, and a little more cumin. Braised the meat in it and the consome came out really good.
