I tried their Sunday BBQ today and it was excellent. I had the pork steak and found it to be better that Dwight’s. The plate came with beans, potato salad, dirty rice and a roll. It was $13 which is cheaper than Dwight’s too. Highly recommend.
Does Baton Rouge have anything comparable to these places for Sunday BBQ?

Sounds like a nice plate of food and 13.00 seems quite reasonable. Wish you took photos.

Pork steak better than Dwight's?

I'll have to give it a try.

This is their Johnson St location?

We picked up pork steak and pork stew plates last Sunday from Glenda’s Creole Kitchen in Breaux Bridge. 2 sides per plate. 4 plates was about $52. Had leftovers and it was delicious.

Tim’s in Broussard is another good plate lunch option, but they may be $2-3 more a plate.

Same plate at Ronnie’s on Thursday’s in BR. I’m going to assume Kartchner’s is much better but Ronnie’s is maybe $10.99 if you just have that craving in BR ever.
