Lafayette I-10 area Friday lunch recommendations

We’re heading to TX Friday and are looking for a lunch spot. Breaux Bridge to Crowley.
Looking for something simple, maybe a place that serves plate lunches or poboys, homemade burgers, or even fried chicken.
Last time through we ate at Kartchner’s in Scott. Prefer to stay close to I-10.
Thanks

Gabe's in Rayne checks all of those boxes, is close to I-10, and is quick.

Laura's 2.
Easy on and off I10. Plate lunches and poboys. Excellent spot.

Gabes in Rayne has solid plate lunches, burgers, and fried chicken, their poboys are pretty meh.
I prefer Uncle Ts in Scott over Feezos.
It rarely gets mentioned but the Rascals Truck Stop restaurant in Duson is pretty good. They have a fried fish buffet on Fridays or their burgers and poboys are pretty good. They make great fried chicken but its only on their Thursday buffet.

Like others have said, it's Poche's in Breaux Bridge. Fried fish p[late comes with 4 big pieces. Anything stewed is always good. Etouffee is good. Can't go wrong with much there. Make sure you get a side of the potato salad.

Breaux Bridge.
Chen's fried chicken and seafood.
Everything they serve is cooked when you order it so it is a 6-8min wait but it is worth it.
YW!

I think they just want good. Laura's 2 is the best damn plate lunch in Acadiana.
Now, Poche's has always been the largest damn plate lunch in Acadiana.
The folks in this thread know what they are talking about.

Same with the place in Jennings. Not Darrels but the gas station place.

He’s probably talking about bourbon street cafe.

Yeah, that is what it is. I knew it had to do New Orleans.

Good plate lunches, but some of the worst boudin I've ever had. Tossed in the garbage after 1 bite

FYI Anse Broussard Hwy is partially closed so if you want Poches you gotta get off in Henderson and backtrack.
