Well it’s Sunday so Jacmel Inn isn’t open yet.

Tope La is really good.
Punjabi Dhaba Indian Is about as good of Indian food as you can find around.
Lees diner is an old staple.
Ryan’s Deli has the best muffaletta in the state - but it’s in a gas station

Is Don's in Hammond good? I always enjoyed Downtown Don's in Lafayette. Shrimp gumbo and crawfish bisque were grand.

Worked there for a few years serving, it's good don't get me wrong, but I think when visiting Hammond this isn't the ideal choice. It also depends on the server you get.. Personal favorite is the Stuffed Catfish, grilled veggies and pick another side.

Crawfish bisque is the best I've had though

It's not about the ideal choice, but more about getting the gumbo and the bisque with hopes that they are as good as they were in the Lafayette restaurant. Happen to have to go to Hammond later in the month.

Dude, GTFO....they put mayonnaise on it!

Their other sandwiches/poboys are amazing though.

That must be recent. Because I haven’t had mayo on any of them I’ve had.
