New Restaurant on Inniswold - Smoke Bayou

Just drove by and saw a new Bbq restaurant called Smoke Bayou. Anyone tried it yet?
I’m assuming it’s not the same people who had Bayou smokehouse in the same location couple of years ago

So what’s the story with the Old School BBQ on Coursey? Didn’t the Bayou people open the bbq kitchen there and then the Pelican Sports TV guy who owned the building take the bbq kitchen over himself?

That’s what I heard… when they first opened the bbq place there the food was really good. Probably the best bbq in BR by a wide margin.

There was a news article a few weeks back. Whoever owns the building owns Pelican Sports TV or whatever it’s called. The article was about this guy wanting to make it a broadcast studio with live shows broadcasting and bbq. Yep, you eat bbq while Clarence Buggs is doing a show in the corner.
What I was never sure about was whether or not the Innisworld bbq people were in fact the ones who began the bbq at that location. I know for sure whoever began it was kicked out and now the owner has it.
