BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new BBQ restaurant is set to open this summer in Baton Rouge.
Offset Smoker BBQ, a restaurant specializing in central Texas-style barbecue, will softly open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 until everything is sold out.
The menu includes pork spare ribs, pulled pork, chicken, brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, beans and vegetables. Tuan Pham with Offset Smoker BBQ said the restaurant will offer takeout and that seating is outside on the patio.
The restaurant will be located at 5335 Government St.

I guess I’d go to north Baton Rouge if the food was good enough

That's considered Mid-City by most.

Weird that you left brisket off on purpose.

Texas BBQ starts with beef. The fact that brisket wasn't mention first, second, or third means that it's just another Baton Rouge barbecue attempt.
It's not weird. I was an insult.

Weird that you are disparaging a place that has not even opened yet. The guy seems to have been putting some serious training and resources to bring a legit bbq place to BR. Why the insult?

That's a strong statement leading off with pork. I'll happily try it and hope they succeed.

The first thing on the menu is Brisket. The writer may be confused but the menu starts with brisket.

Not at all… this dude knows what he’s doing. I tried his pop up several months back and it was excellent

So you are insulting the place because of some article and not based off the place’s actual menu that I posted. Gotcha.
