does anyone else do this? whenever my wife and I are grilling steaks and want to concentrate more on drinking on the patio rather than cooking sides, we always slice potatoes (about 1/2" thick) and put them in the rice cooker. we add 1/2 stick of butter, about 6oz of water, and seasoning. when the bell "dings", they come out perfect every single time.

You can also use your rice cooker to steam shirts to get wrinkles out.

I don't cook enough "other" stuff in my rice cooker. I wonder how whole red potatoes would do.
