I am helping put together a birthday party for a friend and trying to think of all the casual restaurants in Baton Rouge with private rooms.

I know Tio Javis has that small room in the front right. Drusilla Seafood has rooms but not sure what other causal restaurants have rooms for 30-40 people? I know when Roux 61 was Boutin’s they had several rooms and a patio but not sure they are still there.

Thanks for any help.

You could probably rent out the LSU room at Doe's Eat Place

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will look into a few. Its so hard because I plan to invite close to 60 people but its a crapshoot to see who will show up. I am racking my head trying to think of a location that will let me order $500 worth of small apps and such and let people go sit down and order a meal on their own if they want to, dont want to be stuck with huge alcohol bill at the end if the night.

I've seen many private parties in restaurants around BR where the host has chafing dishes set out that are paid for, and then patrons pay for their own sit down food.

Mike Andersons in Ascension has a private room and you can reserve the patio.

That is going to be tough for up to 60 people without having to pay a rental fee, especially for dinner time and without a spend guarantee on liquor/food.

Jubans has a couple of rooms and they have the one that attaches to the patio. We have used it in the past and it's been great. But you are going to be at $35/person with the cocktail menu. Jubans

I think I'm confused over what kind of birthday party you're throwing. Is it just going to be a cocktail hour with apps or is it just apps with a cash bar? Then, if people want to stay, they order and pay for their own food and drink thereafter? Will they stay in the same room as the party to do that? That may also create a separate checks issue.

I know LL said she's seen this before. I have not, so I'm interested in how the logistics work.
