Anyone else notice a distinct decline in quality? The service has still been pretty good. Noticed a couple months back. Been 2 more times since with the same takeaway

For the price, there are many other better choices imo

Didn’t the chef leave for Portobellos a while back?
And Ruff died.

Obviously all the movers and shakers that frequented the establishment have left and without those patrons and their money, they can’t afford the same quality of ingredients.

People who say this about anything but don’t name names get an auto-downvote from me.
Enjoy it.

Definite decline. It’s just not the same.

Sclafani left and we'll only eat at Ruffinos with a gift card. Not spending my money there.
He went to Portabellos on George O'Neal and I was really impressed with how good it was. Was brought there after one of my kid's games with the team.

I disagree. They had good specials and the meals were cooked right. It was a restaurant that you knew you were getting a solid meal every time you went. In the past, it had to be one of the top 3 most dependable restaurants in BR.

Dependable doesn’t mean good. Their Italian sucked but I liked some of the fish dishes

I always thought Ruffino’s was a little overrated. The last couple times I ate there I wasn’t really impressed. Like others have said, Portobellos IMO has take over the reigns. I ate there recently for the 1st time and it certainly exceeded my expectations.

A dependable good meal…

Opposite for me. It’s better now than it’s ever been in the past.
I’ve gone to Portabellos since he’s taken over and not been impressed. However, he owns new Jubans and besides the weird service it’s been really good.

Will College GameDay go there or WalkOns in the future?

Agreed. The ambiance and the atmosphere in there deserve better food. The low ceilings, low light, the fireplaces and wood fired oven, the memorabilia on the walls, a great bar, good service... then the food comes out. It's ashame.

If I’m eating in that area it’s French market
