Located near Diamondhead MS (didn't know about this place or I would have stopped at that exit for lunch some time..)

They're moving it to Baton Rouge...

Anyone been? Any good?

I hope he does well. Driving from BR to Mississippi every week for years, I'd say he's committed as anyone to making his business successful.

Stopped there last summer coming back from the beach. Was really good BBQ with excellent sides. Looking forward to them opening up here

Its very legit Texas BBQ. I don't know how they'll do in Industriplex, but its worth seeking out. As close to Texas brisket as you'll find around here.

I've heard good things. I had been driving to Gonzo's in Luling for my bbq fix but hopefully this will give me a closer option.

I just can’t see the location working, but I hope I’m wrong.

It looks like there’s a Smoke Bayou sign at the former Old School BBQ building on Coursey. Guess they are moving?

They opened in the new location on Saturday. I went Sunday and it was just as good as his other location. Service we pretty good too.

6271 Exchequer Drive should be 6721; there is no 6271.
thats the old exchequer restaurant (RIP) and recently city pork (terrible). breakfast & lunch only is the way to go in that location, industriplex clears out after work

Didn't Old School move from Inniswold to Coursey and change names when it did? Did Bayou Smoke close the Inniswold location, or do they have two locations now?

Supposed to be opening Middle of month. I know they were hiring BOH/FOH employees this week, per FB.
