Ok guys/girls, Due to my job, I am out of the country a lot and just wanted a good Southern Biscuit recipe I can share with my overseas friends. Please share if you have one. Also, I'd love to hear the way your grandma made them! Thanks!

Make sure when using his recipes you covert weight/volume.

Also, buttermilk can be achieved by adding 1 tblspoon of white vinegar to 1 cup of milk.

These 7up/Sour Cream biscuits are damn delicious.and easy to make:

LINK

quote:

INGREDIENTS 4 cups biscuit mix 1 cup sour cream 1 cup 7UP® 1/2 cup melted butter Prep Time: 25 minutes Cook Time: 20-25 minutes Ready In: 1 hour Serving Size: 6-8 people DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 425°. Melt butter and pour into a baking dish. In a bowl, cut the sour cream into the biscuit mix. Add the 7UP® and combine until dough is just mixed. Place the dough on a floured surface and roll until it’s about 1 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter to cut the biscuits. Place all the biscuits in the pan with the melted butter. Bake until golden brown, 20-25 minutes.

The only thing I do differently is reserve about half the butter and brush it on top instead of pouring it all into the baking dish. A 9X13 Pyrex or deep baking pan are perfect for these because they fit tightly in it and they rise vertically really nicely.

I don't make these every week but once in a while these are killer biscuits. Literally!
