Looks like the real deal, I have been holding off on the meater waiting on ThermoWorks to provide a solution. I would be good with the 1 probe offering because I really only need wireless for rotisserie. ThermoWorks RFX

Meater sucks. This looks interesting. Let us know how it is if you buy it.

I'm interested but only reason I would get it, like you mentioned, is for rotisserie.

The Thermoworks Smoke is the best remote system I've ever owned. Accurate and dependable like you would expect from TWs.

I'm in...I have a Combustion that isn't bad, but I had to send two of them back because the bricked after one or two cooks with me babying them. The tow big issues I have with combustion are (1) I have had to result to covering the plastic end part in foil to protect from direct heat even with garden variety grilling (2) range is terrible with grill top closed.

I'm heavily invested in thermoworks otherwise so this looks like it will be perfect for me. I'm pre-ordering rn.

I have one. It's great, but I wish the remote had more buttons / options. And the alarm sounds on both the remote AND the device with the probes. Not sure why you'd need an alarm where the probes are, but that's kind of annoying.

Only a mild annoyance though. It works great other than that.

I didn't read the small print originally and did not realize they won't start shipping until Sept. I already run the signals with billows, looks like the RFX is compatible with billows too, so I went ahead and entered a pre-order.

I've owned several different wireless and just gave up on the POS. I'm back to fully wired, battery burning, non-app based thermometers. The only wireless part is the receiver, and I usually don't even use that. My briskets are back to perfection.

$160 is a lot for a probe. I've had a Meater and Meatstick, both gave up within a year. I have a ChefIQ wireless thermometer now, it's been my favorite out of the three. Hope it lasts...

I’ve tried various remote devices and have gone back to keeping it simple. I just check now and then manually with a Thermapen.

But this new device could get me back to high tech temp checking. It would be good with turkey, chicken, and lamb on the rotisserie or otherwise, because those meats can go from raw, raw, raw, to overcooked in a flash. This would help keep a closer eye on their temps without having to lift the lid so often.

I have a couple of Thermapens and a wired temp/timer device from them, so I know they make good products. This will probably be the best wireless product on the market based on their past performance.

I've had a wireless Maverick for 8 years, if it ever dies I will get another. Not expensive, two probes.

Any update? Looking for a wireless rig that can handle high heat from whole hog rotisserie. Not a fan of the plastic I'm seeing on the options from amazon.

Mine came last Tuesday, they were delayed due to a QC issue, they sent me a free carrying case. If you have a Smoke or Signals and use the App the setup is easy and straight forward. I used one on a steak, which is probably not optimal cause, the temp changes rapidly. I have seen people use it for a steak on youtube, but I just used my normal method. I did use it yesterday on some chicken quarters and it worked well. You can set the temp,to update at different intervals from like 1 sec and up. A lot of people online don’t like it cause the ambient (pit probe) is not built in and has to be wired to a gateway. I don’t mind it cause i’m already smoking with a BBQ Guru. I really want to do a Brisket next and place a probe in the point and flat. The quality and performance is what you expect from Thermoworks. That’s why I waited for them to make a wireless probe before buying from another brand.

I ended up getting this one from Amazon for $70 with 2 probes. It worked well, would lose temps if you move the base more than about 15 feet away but would reconnect in a couple seconds once in range. Was within a degree or two of my handheld thermometer every time I checked it. I'm sold for now, no reason to spend 4x the money when this works just as well
