If I buy a jar, I wind up throwing it out as I don't use mayo that much.

My wife says it is borderline trashy but I always ask for packets of condiments and sauces when I go to fast food places. I then keep them separated in my pantry for random uses. Individual servings of ranch are expensive to buy but they are free at most places if you ask. Same with random sauces. I have horsey sauce, Polynesian sauce, chic fil a sauce, bbq sauce, buffalo sauce, etc. They constantly get used at home.

Just go to circle k, they have free packets of ketchup, mustard, relish, Mayo… it’s right next to the hotdogs!

Purchase of said hotdog… optional!

Condiment packs

I always take a Taco sauce pack or two when we stop at TAcoBell. They are nice to drop in the pack when we go camping/backpacking to spice up the food.

Today, I learned that mayo kept in the fridge expires.

It’s 2 months after the “best by” date if stored in the fridge.

I’ve got some that I know is “expired.”
Will use.

Taste a packet, it's usually way off from the bottle or jar.

I've noticed that condiment packets generally don't have expiration/best by dates.

I guess you could create an excel spreadsheet to keep track of each packets expiry date or you could just track diarrhea episodes and throw out the batch of packets that was the culprit.

Godspeed.

You must not be an Eagle Scout or a Marine. Cheap is filling a Grey Goose bottle with Tito. Frugal and self sufficient is different. And admirable.
