What BR restaurants do you feel you get good value for your money?

With increasing food prices, going out to eat is not too fun. But I think Asian Seafood House has reasonable prices and the portions are good. I went to lunch the couple weeks ago with a friend and we got:
App
-crispy shrimp rolls
-shrimp pancakes with corn
-fried meat pies
Entree
-sizzling short ribs
-Yang Chou fried rice(probably best in BR)
-1 Lobster with ginger and scallion with rice

It was around $82 before tip. And we had to box the fried rice. If we didn’t get the lobster, it’d be $57.

Waffle House and it isn't even close. You get entertainment, culture, and hashbrowns.

I went to a Waffle House Sunday afternoon and had the worst/strangest experience I think I’ve ever had at a food place.
I’m good to not go back for another 10 years

I think most of the non fast food asian restaurants in town offer good value. ASH, Boru, Bao, Ava's, etc.

As a father of three young kids, city pork is great bang for your buck. Their kids menu is fantastic. Smoked chicken and cheese sandwich for 8 dollars is a value.
Ate there tonight. I had the pork schnitzel for $28 and had enough leftover for full lunch tomorrow.
The charcuterie and some of the items are high, but if you’ve got kids in your party, it’s a good stop.

Cava isn't bad if you drink water.
TX Roadhouse has early bird specials that are really good.
Sombrero's in Walker never leaves anyone hungry.
Sam' Club or Costco pizza and hotdogs.
The food bar at any of the Carter's supermarkets is legit. Their chicken tenders are huge like Cane's used to be and both their fried shrimp and catfish are far better than most restaurants. They use LA gulf shrimp and Guidry's catfish.

For me, it's ordering a la carte at Mexican places. You can order most anything they offer (tacos, enchiladas, tamales, etc) a la carte and they're like $3-$4 per.

Costco hotdogs and sundaes.

Seriously. Eating out is a luxury at this point. Nothing is truly worth the dollar unless it's a buffet or something you cannot find anywhere else in the country/make yourself.

Even Little Caesar's got hit by inflation.

Not sure if it counts as an actual restaurant, but lunch at the State Police Cafeteria is cheap and good.

For traditional restaurants I feel like Albasha is good for price/value. Also, Sharon’s Kitchen off of Plank.

Is that open to the public again? I though Covid killed it.

We went and ate at Mike Anderson’s in Gonzales a couple weeks ago.
We had charbroiled oysters, shrimp remoulade salads, shrimp Norman, and a catfish plate, plus a couple drinks each.
Damn good food and the total was $80 or so.
When I first got the bill, I thought she forgot to add something to it.
