Before Snack Wells took ownership of it, there was the devil’s food cookies/cakes many people truly loved. I tried looking for reference to them, but either I’m just not searching properly, which is a distinct possibility, or they’ve wiped it from existence so that hopefully we will all forget and move along. Are you talking about the 'Gotta Have Chocolate' brand ones? I remember my grandparents having these in the late 80's early 90's.

i used to love those I dont think they make them anymore. they really didnt have a strong sweet flavor but I loved them. as a kid I could eat a whole box.

looks like the line was retired in 2022
