I get Taco Tuesday, but what made Red Beans and rice being a Monday thing? Also, catfish seems to be a Friday thing. Im not saying every restaurant does this, but it is a lot of them.

Edit: I could have googled it, but whats the fun of that?

Tradition of cooking a ham on Sunday and using the leftovers on Monday for red beans and let them simmer all day while doing chores.

Why is Tuesday for taco’s? What makes tacos special on Tuesday? Why not turkey? Tuna Tuesday? Turnips, tomato soup Tuesday?

Maybe because there isnt any laundry left to do and everyone like a taco.

I don't really like tacos. I mean, I like them fine on soft wheat tortillas, but that's not really a taco.

I'm the one. I don't like tacos, but small burritos are just fine.

How does someone from Louisiana say this? Does taco Tuesday even have origins other than alliteration?
