How often do you record your own gameplay? And why?

Me personally I typically will have record turned on. This is especially useful in more difficult games because it is easier to find your flaws in the fight or other strats than it is while fighting it. Anyone else do this?

Only when I stream which isn't very often.

Never. Doesn’t seem interesting to me. I don’t stream or create any sort of content so it would just be taking up space.

I don't specially do recording, but I do utilize replays in competitive games for review purposes. I mainly do that with fighting games, but it's useful in any competitive genre.

Staggeringly rarely; only when I’m replaying a game with a sequence/cutscene I particularly like and, for some reason, no good quality version of it exists on YouTube.

I don’t do it for YouTube purposes. I have a channel I host clips to just share with friends. I mainly just do it for watch backs to pick up mistakes I make and outside the box or alternate ideas. I find it much easier to do this watching it back than on the fly.
This is specifically how I became a god at sekiro and have been doing it since. Just one example watching back my play made it click how vitally important the sound ques are

I can see where that might be useful. I used to make clips on Xbox one occasionally for funny moments whenever they heavily marketed the record feature with Kinect. Perhaps it’s aging, but I just don’t care enough to save footage for comedic purposes or to hone my skills at this stage.

I only record when I’m cussing in the background because the boss has killed me for the 37th straight time.

Always record full session because im on FiveM roleplay servers. Gotta have receipts if i get accused or accuse someone of a rule break. I clip the funny moments and delete the rest after a couple days.
