I'm trying to get the new passing mechanic down but the issue I'm facing is my WRs being open more than actually throwing an accurate pass. Running is hit or miss. Defense seems to be a roll of the dice most of the time if the opponent is throwing the ball.

Inb4 skill issue. I know I'm not that great at this but man I am getting worked online. Maybe it's all these sweaty Madden players playing head to head only games???

It’s not nearly as bad as many people are saying

I’m guessing a lot of people have not played any football games since 14 and if that’s the case, yeah, it’s a major learning curve

No. Four verts isn’t as automatic as it used to be. Gotta learn to play the game

It’s probably slightly harder than past games. It’s just amplified now because a lot of people didn’t play for a long time if they didn’t like madden.

Only thing im having a problem with is having zero time to pass and my tackles being turnstiles

Yes it's hard as shite.

What is everyone using pass control wise? Revamp pass?

I haven’t played but have watched a lot of madden pros play on YouTube. It seems like a hit stick causes a fumble damn near 75% of the time it lands. I’ve seen a ton of fumbles. Also, once a runner gets in the open field it seems impossible to make the tackle. Once they get a head of steam they shed every tackler and can’t be caught from behind

Also seeing a lot of people just running around with Milroe and being unstoppable which would make me break a controller. I quit playing madden because of all the cheese play rage so I’m still undecided if I want to get back into that shite

It was hard as hell for me to get started. I was barely winning dynasty games on All American my first season. Now I’m beating top teams by 20 on Heisman in my third season. I’ve played about 10 games online and went 7-3 so far. It’s really just learning what does and doesn’t work, then staying away from the bad shite. Just takes a little time. Defense is still tough on Heisman though. Can’t stop anybody. Hard to get more than a handful of stops.

The more I play, the more I’ve learned that defense is significantly more difficult than offense.

And kicking is stupid. I don’t even try for field goals if I’m on the road anymore.

Playing defense on this game is a joke. Wide open receivers all over the place. Your Line gets zero pressure. Open field tackling is as difficult as I can ever remember.

It's comical.

Huh, I’m glad to hear it’s hard.

It’s gotten to the point in NCAA14 where I can make any team a juggernaut in just a few seasons on the toughest slider sets.

I’m not even that great, just know the thing inside and out after a decade.

I forgot to add, pass blocking is awful. Neither of LSU's 95+ rated tackles can block a DE.

In fact, more often than not I have less than 2 seconds to throw because they barely lay a hand on them.

I only play against the cpu but I've only seen 1 fumble over the course of about 10 games so I find that weird you seen so many from others. Also tackling is not an issue, especially if you use conservative tackling and not trying to hit stick everything.

Playing on all American, this game is not that hard. It actually feels like the most balanced game I've ever played of being the right amount of difficulty against really good teams and being able to run and pass all over terrible teams with ease.

Here's all I've gathered so far:

You MUST know how to adjust D Line immediately
Never run blitz packages
Pray your CBs can cover
If you can only run the ball, so be it
Line drive passes only

It's harder than Madden.

But the real problem is EA's usual trickfrickery of the gameplay.

For example I've won 6 in a row as LSU and now face Arkansas on AA difficulty. Well, Arkansas might as well be the Kansas City Chiefs. EA says it time for me to lose one. I quit a couple and it's the same story over and over. My skill doesn't really matter. They will score at will no matter what even if I have the perfect defense. Their DB's have eyes in the back of their heads and will turn and pick a ball that should be complete. Knowing what I know about Madden once I drop a game then it's back to normal and I'll crush the next opponent.

It's typical EA bullshite manipulating your experience like you're 12yrs old and think it makes the game more exciting.

Sounds kind of realistic. Most great teams have a game like that every season where it makes no sense. They get beat or barely beat a severely underdog team where everything goes wrong for them and everything right for the underdog.. Especially If this game was at Arkansas. Am I wrong?

Yea the let down games happen on the road.

They do need to fix it to where you don’t have to shift your line every play, that gets tiresome for some.

They should keep the road hard though it’s more realistic

If your lsu sounds pretty realistic. Mine is coming in Wednesday with new system. I played religiously for 20+ years. Excited to give it a go. Madden doesn’t fulfill that itch.
