For example I've won 6 in a row as LSU and now face Arkansas on AA difficulty. Well, Arkansas might as well be the Kansas City Chiefs. EA says it time for me to lose one. I quit a couple and it's the same story over and over.

This goes right back to what I said a week ago

This guys backing out and restarting because he can’t win a game for his dynasty

That’s frickin sad man. Just take the L and move on. You’ll still make the playoffs!

Then blames EA because he can’t adapt to a new game. I’ve played this game a ton since it dropped, and the things people complain about are either trivial, their own fault, or frustration because they can’t beat everyone 88-3 on heisman difficulty. It’s sad

Yea I like this much better than if i steam roll everyone.

My teams steam roll bad teams, play close against good teams most of the time and sometimes we dog stomp a good team

Same for me. Just finished my first season at LSU. Played every game. Had a hiccup against Arkansas (it's much more difficult to play on the road, which I love). Close game against Florida, close game against Bama, close game against A&M. But blew out Oklahoma, Ole Miss (Dart was hurt), and all the rent-a-wins. Lost to UGA in the SEC championship, but went on the win the natty. Option passes have been money when I need a positive play.

What fun would the game be if you went undefeated every year?

I'm just trying to find sliders that feel balanced. I've tried some on Heisman that were too easy, and some on AA that were too hard.

In my Jacksonville St. dynasty I went 3-9 on the same sliders. I led late in most games and the computer would go nuts in the 4th to secure the victory every time.

I like the new meter, but yeah kicking on the road is useless.

Played a few games with a friend last night. It's much harder than I remember.

- Passing is hard as shite. I haven't played a football game since NCAA 2014 so I need to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing. I also have no time to pass. Feel like I'm getting blown up every play

- My CPU DBs routinely get cooked, absolute dogshit

- Kicking FGs is so hard that I think it's bugged. You should be able to make 40yd FGs consistently, and that is certainly not the case here.

Or, it's none of those. Look, most of us that had NCAA 14, are now in our late 30s' and early 40s. We have families and other obligations, therefore, we don't have hours to spend researching offensive line shifts, gap play, coverages of each individual team, nor do we have time to spend perfecting our play. Outside of last week, i have maybe enough time to play 1 game every other night, if that. So, as others have said, it's frustrating to have to deal with the mechanics of this game that is clearly geared towards football nerds and youtube streamers.

I just want to play a football game and enjoy it. Nothing is enjoyable about your defense unable to break up 1 pass in a game and always out of position through no fault of your own.

Personally, i'm not looking to go undefeated every season. In fact, i'd prefer it if i lost 2 or 3 games my first few seasons so there is room for improvement. But, having Ole Miss pass for 500+ yards on you is a bit unrealistic (on varsity level). I do a decent enough job of keeping up on offense but the defense is unworkable, and stadium pulse is ridiculously overpowered. I lost to Florida in the final seconds because the pass play i selected, became a running play because of pulse. I don't care about the loss, but losing like that is infuriating.

I'm sure, eventually i may get the hang of it, but at this rate, it will be months and i'll likely lose interest.

I just finished the regular season. Started out playing on all american but got too pissed and turned it to varsity and boosted my defensive pass coverage sliders to 100 and still took 500 yds from ole miss. I'm 11-1, simmed 2 games (S. Carolina and some easy team), and just simmed defense for Vanderbilt. Lost to Florida because of the stadium pulse. I got the hang of offense a bit, but again, i'm on varsity. AA i was throwing a pick every other possession. I'll probably get through this season and then play as a smaller school now that i understand how recruiting works, a little better. Or i'll start a RTG season.

Just for some context, in ranked on the old games I peaked at top 10 on xbox. Most years I was top 100, but getting into the top 25 or so became a grinding exercise based on being decent at the game + playing a TON of games more than anything else so I only really tried to do it the one time.

With that in mind, I think its pretty hard considering that they don't tell you that you need to utilize certain settings and features.

-You HAVE to adjust your blocking on pass plays if you're against a good defense or facing someone like James Pearce from UT who can wreck a game by himself as a pass rusher.

-Unless they patch down fumbles I think turning on conservative ballcarrier unless you're behind is almost mandatory right now.

-I can't remember the name of the settings, but on option defense the first setting should be conservative (focus QB) and the second setting should be aggressive (focus pitch man). That way on option plays you can go after the QB with the user and the CPU might grab you a pitch

-I think conservative tackling is worth having turned on even if you might lose the chance at a fumble IF you're using a team with a good defense. If your game is going to be a shootout anyway leave that setting alone and hope for a forced fumble.

-At least in the game's current state, pinching the line on early downs has been pretty successful for me. Bounces any inside runs outside where you can clean it up.

-On blitz plays make sure if a safety is covering the RB that they are lined up even with the RB or offset to the open side of the field since horizontal running plays are so good in this game

-User controlling a LB in either cover 4 or cover 3 match seems to be the best 'base' play to run your defense out of. On man or blitz plays I usually user a DT to try to get inside pressure, or the nickel CB if its a nickel blitz. Safety blitzes suck unless you're pretty sure its a run play.

This is my biggest issue. It's arguably the worst case I've ever seen of mechanic explanation in a game. They don't tell you a frickin thing.

I went undefeated on my latest all-american dynasty startup, until vanderbilt I simmed that game and lost. Bru McCoy was 4th in the Heisman voting and James Pearce Jr has been first since like week 4. Not sure where they are now, I turned it off after the computer ruined my perfect season

Think I'm the top rushing offense and top 10-15 in passing, top rush defense. Middle of the pack passing D because I jump ahead and play so aggressive that I give up bombs

The passing system and animations are complete trash. Several times I've had wide open receivers streaking down the field and the computer takes pace off the deep ball because a defender is within 5 yards and it ends up an interception. You try to compensate by throwing a bullet pass and it goes 5 yards too far. Interception returns by the CPU almost always go for a pick 6.

The speed and break tackle boosts that randomly appear for mediocre players for the CPU are annoying too.

Hopefully these are things that will be fixed on the first big update.

If you’re timing your kick when it’s a maxed out red arrow, you’re getting a severe accuracy penalty every time. Should be able to knock them down more consistently if you stop it in the green portion right before the red part.

Nothing about the gameplay is organic.

It's all scripted to produce desirable outcome.

Just like in FIFA your CB's will run out of the way to allow a goal.

These fricking nerd developers attempt to recreate emotional responses by manipulating gameplay.

The other problem is without actively changing parameters during a game is there are a lot a smart gamers who will figure out an unstoppable play and abuse it.

Agreed- even on running plays too. I live in Ohio and have to play against the buckeyes almost every game and their DT cooks Chester on every running play and gets tfl - it annoying.

Are you holding LT or L2 to pass lead further? I am hitting deep balls now that weren't possible on 14' or revamped.
